Sudeep Biography

Sudeep is an actor, director, producer in Kannada cinema industry and Bollywood. He is from Shimoga, Karnataka. He is known for the role in Phoonk, Mussanje Maatu, and Rann.

His first movie was Thayavva (his 2 films 'o kusuma bale' & 'brahma' with "REBEL STAR AMBARISH" was stopped in middle and not completed) and then he played a supportive role in the movie Prathyartha directed by Sunil Kumar Desai. He then acted in a movie called Sparsha which was also directed by Sunil Kumar Desai and it is the first movie of Sudeep where he is seen in a lead role. In 2003, Sudeep acted in a hit film Huccha which gave him a big fan following.

He acted in a serial Premada Tuturi directed by Sudhakar Tamburi which was aired on Udaya TV, before he went on to act in his home production Sparsha directed by Sunil Kumar Desai

He acted in one of the critically acclaimed tragedy film "Huccha" which proved his acting capabilities. He also acted in Kannada version of the Tamil movie Autograph and Telugu movie "Swathi Muthyam". He has won Filmfare Award in the best actor category for three consecutive years. Recently he made his debut in Bollywood with the movie Phoonk. Most of his movies are adapted from Tamil and Telugu movies for which he is criticized. He also stars in Ram Gopal Varma's movie Rann, co-starring Amitabh Bachan. The movie Mussanje Maathu released in 2008 went for 100 days and won few Filmfare Awards. He is directing a Kannada movie Just Math Mathalli, a romantic comedy which also boasts of music by Raghu Dixit of Raghu Dixit Project fame. He is also acting in Ramgopal Varma's Phoonk 2, a sequel to Phoonk. He is also acting in Rakta Charitra directed by Ramgopal Varma.

In the Year 2010

In 2010 his Bollywood movie Rann released to highly positive reviews,despite getting positive reveiws it did not fare well at the box office.His directorial Kannada musical movie Just Math Mathalli released in Feb 2010.The movie got positive reviews but it was a average grosser. His two Bollywood movies Phoonk 2 and Rakta Charitra is about to get released.Phoonk 2 will be dubbed to Telugu as Aavaham. He is also directing a remake of old Kannada classic Antha in Kannada,it is named as Kanwarlal. His another film Veera Parampare announced which also stars Ambarish.

Personal life

Sudeep is from Shimoga, Karnataka. His father Sanjeev was an hotelier who has started producing movies. He was a student of mechanical engineering from Dayananda sagar college of engineering.university cricket player, He has a daughter called Saanvi ,which means goddess Lakshmi.He is a good singer and plays guitar.
