We Are Family Story, Preview & Synopsis

Maya Kajol is the perfect mother. Her life revolves around her three childerens, Aleya ( Aachal Munjal ), Ankush ( Nominath Ginsberg ), and Anjali ( Diya Sonecha ). Who thinks nothing much then the world of her. Despite being divorced from her husband, Aman ( Arjun Rampal ). Maya has ensured that everything runs smoothly in her house, under her watch, and that they continue to remain a happy family unit. However, when Aman introduces his girlfriend, Shreya ( Kareena Kapoor ) a career oriented woman, who has a lot to learn about children's, to the family, the situation immediately takes an unexpected turn. When an incident changes their lives drastically, bringing the two women under the same roof, they find themselves putting to test an unusual situation; can two mothers make a home?

Kajol: Maya

Maya has never accepted that her marriage is over. So she pours her heart into being the perfect mother. From finding the impossible birthday present, to being there for every single moment - no one can replace her.

Maya is focused on bringing up the kids with traditional Indian values. She tries to give the children the very best that she can. And she is determined that no one else is going to have a say in their upbringing.

Arjun Rampal: Aman

Aman is the man stuck in the middle! He is well respected as a professional. He adores his children and tries to be there for them as much as he can. Unfortunately his career calls him away at crucial moments.

He is determined not to make the mistakes with Shreya that he made in his first relationship. It is really important to him that it work out, and he gives it his everything.

Kareena Kapoor: Shreya

Shreya is a young designer who is struggling to get a career started. She is madly in love with Aman - one of the top commercial photographers. She is impulsive, bright, and unpredictable. Life with her is one adventure after the other. She is an independent solution to situations and problems. Her bubbly exterior masks a tough core. Shreya is a survivor.

Diya Sonecha: Anjali

Snow white and fairy tales are her reality at 6 she's the apple of each family member's eye. Her innocence and simplicity put a smile on their faces but when the evil witch (daayan) enters her perfect fairy tale world it changes her understanding to reality and makes her ask the question - do good witches also exist!

Aanchal Munjal: Aleya

At 13 staying in a family without the presence of her father, she's been the protective sister of the family and her mother is her universe but when destiny puts her in an unusual situation will she be able to face the harsh realities…

Nominath Ginsburg: Ankush

His world is full of planets, books and stars. At 10 he's quite mature for his age but keeps a lot within without showing what's really going on. His father is his hero and his mother his world and somewhere deep down he wants his parents to get back but when he's thrown into this unusual situation life takes another meaning for him.
